“Dinner Dot” was coined by a couple of friends who invariably ended up wearing part of their meal. Their adventurous palate ultimately manifested itself as a food splash adornment on their clothes. Eventually, and as most things tend to evolve, it turned into a contest to see who manages to be the last to acquire a “dinner dot” or avoid one altogether. However, we’ve since grown more and more fond of the name. Rather than have it be the mark of a loser, “Dinner Dot” is now an endearing term for the highest honor one can bestow upon a meal.
